Captain’s Drive In

Captain Shane Foley and Lady Captain Mary Quirke teed off in fabulous spring sunshine in front of a large crowd on Sunday last at 2pm. Even though there was an early frost competition secretary Mick Hanrahan managed to accommodate all players on what was a full time sheet. Lady Captain Mary said she was delighted that her prayers for a fine day were answered. Captain Shane’s wish for 2013 was that the proud tradition of Borris Golf Club continued under his tenure and that all members rallied behind him, especially in welcoming new members, past members and visitors to the Club.
